The word "economy" comes from "governing the world and benefiting the people". The purpose of the economy is to govern the country and make people live a prosperous life. The so-called economy is to look at human society from the perspective of "value". It refers to the necessary activities such as buying, selling, consuming, and producing that people engage in in order to live. But the economy is by no means only composed of buying, selling, consuming, and living.

Enterprises cannot sell products and earn income without circulation. We consume in order to survive, and we need to buy necessary items. The process of getting items to consumers, that is, circulation, is indispensable. Therefore, logistics is also one of the economic elements, which is beyond doubt.

As mentioned above, the economy is composed of three major areas, namely "production", "circulation" and "consumption". "Political Economy" in colleges and universities, "Economics" and "Principles of Economics" in universities teach that the economy is composed of "production and consumption" or "supply and demand". Circulation is included in "supply (production)".

However, circulation is essentially different from manufacturing and cultivation. The scale of modern distribution is becoming increasingly large, which is due to the expansion of the scale and scope of the economy. In Japan, industrial raw materials and fresh food are purchased from all over the world, and Japanese-made goods are sold all over the world. Therefore, it is necessary to consider "manufacturing goods" and "delivering goods" separately.
